Brazilian Coffee Cookies
My Italian mother-in-law gave me this recipe. She calls them spoon cookies because, unlike most Italian cookies, these are simply dropped from a spoon. They're most common around the holidays.

Ingredients:
- 1 (1.75 ounce) package multicolored sprinkles (jimmies)
- ¼ cup milk
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 6 eggs
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C). Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking pans with parchment paper.
- To make the butter or margarine light and fluffy, cream it with the white sugar. Mix in the vanilla and eggs thoroughly. Combine the baking powder and flour in a mixing bowl. Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls onto the baking sheets that have been prepared. In a small mixing dish, slowly drizzle milk into confectioners' sugar, a tablespoon at a time, until the mixture is dripping.
- Bake for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Allow cookies to cool before drizzling with confectioners' sugar and milk glaze, followed by candy sprinkles.
